Copyright & DMCA Policy

Recap Studio is built for rights holders. This page explains how we handle copyright claims and what we require from uploaders.

Rights attestation

Every project requires you to attest that you hold distribution or derivative-works rights for the uploaded source. Attestations are timestamped, logged, and auditable. Repeat false attestations result in permanent suspension.

Filing a claim

If you believe a recap infringes your copyright, send a notice to copyright@recap.studio including: the work claimed, the project or export URL, your contact details, a good-faith statement, and your signature. We review claims within 5 business days and may suspend the project during review.

Counter-notice

Project owners may file a counter-notice with evidence of rights. Content is restored unless the claimant files court action within 10 business days.

Music licensing

All tracks available in the app are licensed through Epidemic Sound. Export artifacts carry the license associated with the selected track; using our exports outside the licensed scope is your responsibility.
